Veranda Chiang Mai – The High Resort

Refreshing neon blue drink consumed and you will be ushered to your room within which the designs are wholly inspired by nature aside from the occasional splashes of imagery with attitude that add spice to this mountain enclave. The Veranda Chiang Mai has a split personality. One zone celebrates all that is Lanna showcasing locally produced artworks and furnishings. Another zone is dedicated to contemporary design, a personality trademark of the Veranda brand.

From the domed timber roof of the lobby to the resorts architectural use of concrete, the almost minimalist rooms and the awe-inspiring views over the dramatic mountainous landscape of northern Thailand. It comes as little surprise that this unique boutique resort has been aired in the Conde Nast Hot List of hotels. Sleeping Arrangements

A boutique resort, the Veranda Chiang Mai offers just 80 Guest Rooms with a choice of 7 different room categories. Housed in 3 low level buildings, all guest rooms feature either balconies, patios or terraces and some have private plunge pools and Jacuzzis as well. Set on slopes descending down into the valley floor, the dramatic views sweep across jagged mountain tops and hillsides, a visual tapestry of tea plantations, rice paddies and mountain streams with seasonal splashes of colour provided by a diversity of tropical flora.

Each guestroom has been designed as a sanctuary of peace and calm, their interiors and facilities sumptuous yet minimalist, inspiring yet sparse. There are king sized beds, queen sized beds and twin beds to choose from and the rooms also feature day beds upon which to relax and absorb the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings. Decorated with local artworks and ornaments, guest rooms are spacious and well equipped with high tech fittings such as a 42 inch LCD satellite television, an iPod dock and wireless internet access.

Valley Deluxe

The Valley Deluxe rooms provide 43sqm of open-plan living space and a 15sqm balcony with a daybed upon which to absorb the valley views.

Jacuzzi Pavilion

The Jacuzzi Pavilion Rooms offer 78sqm of inside living space with an additional 32sqm of private balcony which also features the sunken spa Jacuzzi.

Jacuzzi Suite

One bedroom of between 88 - 91sqm. The Jacuzzi Suite has a large private outdoor living space complete with table and chairs and, of course the Jacuzzi itself. Inside you will find an oversized king sized bed.

Plunge Pool Pavilion

The Plunge Pool Pavilion Rooms are 88sqm of indoor living space with a further 45sqm of outdoor living space each with their own private plunge pools with views out over the rice terraces beyond.

Luxury 2 Bedroom Suite

The Luxury 2 Bedroom Suite provides between 124 -136sqm of living space. The master bedroom features a king sized bed while the second bedroom has a queen sized bed. Outdoor living space with table and chairs on a private balcony.

Presidential Pool Villa

The two storey Presidential Pool Villa has 2 bedrooms, a private study, living room and dining area as well as a large private swimming pool and Jacuzzi which are located in over 420sqm of exclusive living space.
